Food is great - feels like home. I recommend the lamb chops and filet mignon with kabuli rice. The bread and sauces are good. The ashak was my favorite appetizer. The owner gave us complimentary lentil soup which was warm and comforting on a chilly night. For dessert we had the famous dubai chocolate bar dupe which is made in-house, the best one in NJ! Love that the meat is HMS zabiha certified. The floor seating feels authentic. Like that there’s table options as well. The wall art is lovely. Would recommend some vintage mirrors and more art to elevate the space. I do hope the service becomes more efficient with more attentive staff. I understand they’re fairly new so I expect some things will still need ironing out. Good luck to Khorasan! Can’t wait to come back!
Love love love this authentic Afghani restaurant! The food was flavorful, super fresh, and authentic. Really reminded me of my late mom’s Chapli kabab (no one has ever come close). The owners/operators are kind and sweet! Please make sure to try the mixed grill, borani banjan and finish off with the tea. You will love it. Also, it’s so beautiful inside! Highly recommend.
Came here on a whim and LOVED it. The grill bbq was so fresh and tasteful. The filet mignon Kabab’s melted in your mouth and the chapli kabab was crispy outside and soft inside. The kabuli pulao was very fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back and recommend for authentic Afghani food and grilled meats and rice in general.
By far best lamb chops ever and best Kabab in the area, both the Kababs and the lamb chops were fantastic and the cops melted in your mouth!!! Worth the drive and the service was top notch And the fact that they had Salam cola took this to the next level in my opinion .

We had an amazing experience at Khorasan Kabab! The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. We ordered the mixed grill for two along with the bolani, and both dishes exceeded our expectations — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent, very quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was immaculate and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great meal, and we will definitely be coming back for more!
